Marla & I brought our grandsons for the unveiling of a public artwork event at the Denver RTD 40th & Colorado station. The "A Line" runs from Denver's Union station to the Denver International Airport.  Media artist, Erik Carlson, chose an image of a vintage Wiss shear from Wesco Fabrics for his super scaled permanent station art.

Erik's "Hand On" public art installation honors the working life of the neighborhoods surrounding the 40th & Colorado station. He selected hand tools from local businesses and workshops. The monumental free-standing artwork celebrates the workers and creators who make this unique area thrive. Erik is shown at the RTD station presentation.

Deanna cuts fabric using Wiss shears similar to our vintage shears used in the artwork.

Our company has been in this neighborhood for over 60 years. Our Wesco Fabrics' custom window covering & bedding workrooms shown above, have seen plenty of Wiss shears during this time.

The circa 1950 Wiss Shears & Scissors catalog pages is fabulous!

We are proud to be part of the 40th & Colorado Station artwork. It took the creative talent of an artist to see the beauty of such a mundane tool and what it symbolizes.
