Pantone's 2017 "color of year" is GREENERY,  a refreshing, and revitalizing choice and perfect for these times. Pantone's color predictions have influenced all areas of design from interior decor, decorative fabrics, graphic art and advertising,, architecture, fashion, and even food. "GREENERY" symbolizes our need to reconnect with nature and to be inspired by its wonder. One thing it does not represent for me is the "color of money" which seems to to be the current zeitgeist of the country at the moment. 

In 2016 it was "Rose Quartz & Serenity which I liked. We had "Marsala" in 2015 which was not a favorite at all! "Radiant Orchid" was the "IT" color for Pantone in 2014. I am definitely partial to purples!

I found Pantone's "GREENERY" in abundance in my brother's backyard in Hawaii.

The moss on the stone carving of a Buddha in Bali.

I saw it with a profusion of fern leaves.

I could almost feel the color while walking through the Tuileries Garden in Paris.

I chose my cycling jersey because I love the yellow-green color.

The color is beautifully on display with the arugula on a pizza.

Pantone hit it at out of the park with their choice of GREENERY for 2017! I hope the color inspires and propels us toward a healthy year ahead.
